Cheetah family

This cheetah mother and cubs were sitting on and around a termite mound. This gives them a great view of the surrounding area and is where you will often find cheetahs. These young are close to reaching the point where they will leave their mother. Cheetahs can be quite solitary but do form temporary family groups.

This photograph was shot late in the afternoon after a day of photographing animals on the savannah.
