Hidden lion

I like to get down as low as I can when I photograph animals. This photograph was taken from a four-wheel drive, and I got as close to this lion’s eye level as I could.
This lioness is one of a group of females in the park that are monitored by the park rangers. One of them was wearing a tracking device so they could see exactly where she went.

Uganda may not be the first place you think of when considering a safari unless you want to see mountain gorillas, but it has some great national parks and a large variety of animals and birds to see.
