Location: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda
The Queen Elizabeth National Park was the northernmost national park that I was able to visit while in Uganda. It is quite large and hosts a large variety of animals. One group was a family of lions (sisters, mother and aunts). This also included one young male which you can see in this image. One of them had a tracking collar that allowed the park management to track the animal.
This young male didn’t and was taking a break and watching us and other activities around us. Lions tend to be most active in the darker hours, but they will hunt at any time.
